The 2018 Digital Humanities Conference, organized by the Association of Digital Humanities Organizations in conjunction with El Colegio de México, La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and La Red de Humanidades Digitales (RedHD), is a space for diversity and dialogue in digital research and teaching across all arts, social sciences and humanities. The 2018 conference marks the first time that the conference will take place in Latin America & the global south. Mexico´s sociocultural diversity makes it an ideal location for converging digital humanists from distinct cultures, contexts, and socio-political realities. The crossing of cultural, technological, political and ideological borders will stride towards the creation of a digital humanities community that is truly transnational and inclusive
DH2018 will use Double Blind Peer Review
ADHO is excited to announce that the annual DH conference submissions will be given double blind peer review for the first time this year. While in the past reviewers were kept private from those submitting their scholarly work for consideration, this change means that neither the reviewer nor the applicant will be aware of the other’s identity. We believe this will improve the outcomes of the conference by minimizing unconscious biases that can emerge during the review process.
For those individuals who have already submitted for this year’s conference, you will be contacted separately to anonymize your submission(s) for the double blind peer review process. The changes will also be articulated on the DH2018 website under the individual call for participants (link: https://dh2018.adho.org/en/cfp)
